Dear Dr. Lee, I just got a new puppy and want to be sure to do the right thing choosing a food for her. I am health conscious myself, and prefer to eat a lot of whole, organic foods. I’ve started my puppy on a holistic puppy food, but I’d like to supplement with people food for variety and added nutrition. Is this OK? Certain medical conditions, such as allergies or cancer often require a home cooked diet exclusively for an optimal outcome. However, assuming your dog is healthy, you can probably get away without cooking every meal for her (it is definitely hard to find the time to cook for a dog, just like an extra person on a special diet). Dogs have about 100 different facial expressions, most of them made with the ears. Unfortunately, the likes of bulldogs and pitbulls only have 10, due to their breeding. Therefore, these dogs easily get misinterpreted by other dogs and often get into fights. |

In addition to providing a written review for you to read, we also give each product a "paw rating" as listed below. Peticure (http://www.peticure.com/) Pros: Painless Cons: None that we could find. Rating: 5 Paws - Whenever I took Archie to Petsmart to get his nails clipped he became anxious and would hide behind me. With Peticure he has no anxiety and sits still. Kenmore Hepa Air Cleaner #85254 Pros: The Kenmore 85254 is very effective in cleaning the air. I can say it is quiet enough in low medium settings. Plus, it covers a large area of the room. Cons: At the high settings the noise is distracting. Rating: 4 Paws - So far, I am pleased with its performance. It’s doing a good job in cleaning dander, dust and floating pet hair. There is an ionizer which can be on or off. The main Hepa filter need only be replaced every three years. The outside filter every three months at a cost of about $30. Dyson Vacuum Pros: destroys pet hair, very powerful suction, good customer service, great for allergy sufferers Cons: Expensive (but worth the purchase) Rating: 5 Paws - recommended for anyone with allergies or serious pet hair problem. |
